Joe Shinkle risked everything and moved to Nashville, Tennessee in February of 2006. He recorded his full-length album "When The Dust Settles" and is now one of the number one booked country acts in the state of Oregon with his new band, 99West.
Why this name?
99West is the highway that runs right throught he Willamette Valley, so it made sense.
Do you play live?
Myself and 99 West perform an average of twice per week. We are one of the busiest bands around, I am very blessed to be surrounded by such dedicated musicians!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it gives people the ability to get their stuff out there, try and get noticed, and even publish their own material easier than before.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.

"When the Dust Settles" is a compilation of everything that Joe Shinkle loves about music. One minute it will make you laugh, then make you cry, relax you then rock you out.

Favorite spot?
Anywhere in the wilderness on a pack trip with my horses.
Equipment used:
A little bit of everything, 99West uses two lead guitars along with a full band to really give us a drive that most people don't have. I am very lucky to have these guys.
