Let's face it folks. I'm not going to be updating this much. My primary focus right now is my band Djatmaterra, and I won't be recording much new for my own site. However, you can find our songs at Soundclick and Myspace These sources will likely be updated quite a bit more often. Thanks for listening!

I'll try to keep the mix of tracks on here eclectic. I've dabbled in a bunch of different styles over the years, and i think my songwriting reflects that. So here are a bunch of tracks written and recorded at various times in my music carreer. Enjoy.
Why this name?
It's my name. I didn't really want to use it but I couldn't think of anything better =P. Besides, I think it's really corny when people go by stage names...
Do you play live?
Djatmaterra is just starting to play live in the bay area. Watch for us.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It forces people to rethink the entire process from artist to consumer. It makes it possible for the little unsigned, unnoticed artist to skip the middleman and get his material out. All in all I'd say it's a wonderful thing, both as a listener and an artist, but it requires treading somewhat lightly until some sort of standard can be worked out legally (unfortunately).
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe, maybe not. It depends on the contract, I guess.
Band History:
I've been playing for nearly 10 years, and singing all my life -- much to the chagrin of those around me. Recently I think I've really been able to hone my chops a bit and create more cohesive and listenable tunes. So at this point, my repertoire consists of a few gems from the past, and much more current material.
I've played with a lot of people over the years, and they've all left their impressions on me and sculpted, in some way, the musician I am today.
Your influences?
The short list (in no particular order): Alice in Chains, 311, The Beatles, Chris Cornell, Guster, The Toadies, Oasis, Jethro Tull, Silverchair, Self, Pink Floyd, Marcy Playground, and many more.
Favorite spot?
I always liked standing on the ice in a little cleared out circle on the pond in parker meadow in the middle of a snowstorm.
Equipment used:
I play seagull and epiphone acoustics, and a crappy korean strat which I've modified somewhat (it's crappy but I love it).
---
The strat has gone through a significant overhaul. It's now fretless, blue, and rewired properly.
