Born 1979 Aarren picked up the guitar at nine years old and has played in various bands since age 11. He studied at Yamaha Music School for five years where he won the school’s Guitarist of the Year competition aged 15. Aarren also attended the Guitar Institute and during his time there his playing style was described as a cross between Jimi Hendrix and Joe Satriani. He graduated from the Guitar Institute in 2000 with one of the highest marks in the school’s history. Following this he then went on teach Guitar & Bass as well as play in an international party band. He now has a ‘Day Job’ working in finance for a high street bank so as he can spend more time with his family and friends.
His main influences are Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert and Slash. He is also influenced by Hendrix, SRV, Clapton and Gary Moore, to name but a few, as he tends to draw influence from many different places (even Hank Marvin!!).
Angel of Sin (www.angelofsin.co.uk) is one of Aarren’s bands which has rekindled his love affair with playing rock music live in general. Aarren also plays Guitar for two additional rocks bands. One called Splash Alley (www.splashalley.co.uk) and secondly one called Break Out (www.wix.com/aarrenmowle/break-out-rocks) where he also sings lead vocals.

Do you play live?
I tend to play mostly in the Yorkshire region but I have played all over the UK as well as venturing into Europe.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has certainly opened the doors to unsigned acts to give them a chance to promote their music to people who may not necessarily have the chance to see them live.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would certainly sign a record contract assuming it would offer me the right terms.
