Why this name?
I chose the name UniQue WerkX because God made each of us UniQue (the Q is capitalized because of the Waldorf Q) to use our unique characteristics to reach out to those who are sincerely searching for the Truth! Werk is German for work; hence the Kraftwerk influence and the fact that my family originally came from Germany ;)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet made possible all different kinds of music and genres. IMHO it's great! The record companies think that CD sales are down because the internet but IMO there hasn't been anything worth buying! So make your own music :)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Doubt it.
Band History:
I started plying music around the age of 14. Started out playing guitar, then bass guitar and finally was able to afford a synthesizer! :D I've played in my friends bands, mostly heavy metal music but couldn't really ever "get into" that style of music but we had fun playing. I first heard Kraftwerk back in 77' and have been a fan of electronik music ever since. Heard Rush back in the early 80's and was amazed by their song writing & playing skills. When Power Windows came out, the synth sounds (mostly PPG Wave 2.3) just blew me away; genius programming and best synth uses ever. I don't like their philosophy or politics but their music is awesome! Unfortunately, Geddy "fell out of love" with synthesizers and their newer stuff isn't near as pleasing to my ears as their pre 90's sound.
Your influences?
The only music I can compare is mixing Kraftwerk, Rush (the Canadian trio) with lots of other musical influences into my own ambient type synthesizer based music.
Favorite spot?
With my family and sincere Christians with a great love of Christ!!

BIG Thanks to James Driscoll for the art werkx, where every you are - and another note ......The goal of a true "Christian" is to love your neighbor as your self, not being judgmental (not critical of others), and to love justice, love God with all your heart and might; living in peace with God; Living by faith, not by sight. ** *** UniQue Werkx song "Q-Werkx" is featured in Future Music Spain Magazine edition FM90!!** ***
