PHOZGENE welcomes you!
We hope you like our sound, it's a little bit like a lot of metal bands but rest assured we have a one of a kind sound. Johnny O's vocals both melodic and in your face!, combined with the scooby smooth riffs of guitarist Eddy Mendez makes us stand out from the crowd.

Why this name?
Phozgene is actually an exremely fatal chemical weapon which causes a very slow painful death.
Metaphorically speaking, the music just lingers until you are completely overtaken.

Do you play live?
We are currently working on the first album, but hopefully we'll be gigging within the next couple months.

Band History:
The best way to describe this would be like "a can of mixed nuts"! Johnny O who hails from Texas and former lead singer of Gore has headlined with bands like Drowning Pool and other killer bands, Eddy has probably retired more times than Lou Holtz, after being in several local bands that just didn't have what it takes to stand out, he's finally found his place in the spotlight. Johnny Wilson has rejoined the band as the drummer. Donny Krivanek (Phozgene's producer) plays bass on all the tracks.

We are still searching for a bassist (maybe). But so far Donny has worked really well. We all get along to this point and that is really important for the chemistry of the band.
The band has recently gone through some rough times which is often the case when members begin to lose interest or are drawn into outside projects like family and careers.
recording the 6 song demo cd has really lit a fire not only in the band as a whole but the fans as well. So now with new life and an unprecedented will to succeed.......
