My names Matt Boisvert, Im 13 and I got a real passion for music. I love writing lyrics and singing and playing guitar... I have a band but we havent recorded any songs together. Why this name?
Halway Home. Justin and David came up with the name because we were walking home and they're like were halfway home ,so then we said that sounded cool.And there you go
Do you play live?
I would love to play live ,and I take every chance i get to. I make c.d's in the stuido and give them to the people who want them at school , and they seem to like them :) so thats just the way it goes.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Mp3's are just a way to save money for a lot of people. Musicians make plenty of money but they dont want to miss an oppertunity to make it so they complain. Working to make a c.d and record a song is hard ,but if people like ur song so much that they want to download it and listen to it 20 million time i say go for it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah!!! That my dream ,and where i want to be when im older or now. I want to be a famous band and i want that to be my career. I'd be okay if i wasnt because i love music and love playing it but still if I had the chance I woudl do it
Band History:
Dont have much of a band history ,but were all best friends and we just have fun with it.
Your influences?
My dad is a big influence because hes been playing for 30 years and got me hooked on music. Bob Dylan also because my dad got me hooked on him ,and the beatles.
Favorite spot?
My Home...
Equipment used:
I use Calkwalk Guitar Tracks 2.0 for a recording device , and I really need to get a windscreen for my mic... :)
