I graduated from college in '06 with a degree in music, and have decided that '07 is going to be the year where I try getting my music out to people. After taking the year off last year and living in Madison, WI, I have started graduate school in Maine for piano performance.

Why this name?

Ian Scott is my name. 111 just because apparently there a bunch of Ian Scott's and that was the first number that actually worked for me.

Do you play live?

I've played piano concerts before in several different countries.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet lets artists give a wider range of people exposure to their music than they would normally receive through more traditional means.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes.

Your influences?

My biggest influences growing up were the music of Prince and Vangelis. Artists that I've more recently got into are Timbaland, Kraftwerk, Orbital, Gorillaz and Chemical Brothers.
