Che' Logan....... aka Che' Mc Fly aka Logan The Great aka Che' Guereva

Pop Buchanan.......aka P.O. Populous aka Buchanan The Czar aka Chief Lots of Love
Why this name?
(Che')It's just a hybrid of our last names (Lo)gan and Bu(chanan),Thus Lochanan became the name no Gimmicks.
Do you play live?
(Che')Yes,we are getting our itinerary together as we speak for the Spring and Summer staying local for now Industry Showcases, Festivals and Open Mics being the New York Metropolitian area is so big, and people from all over come here
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
(Pop)It helps promote your name and get the music out to Hip - Hop fans around the world who otherwise would not get a chance to hear you being an Independent Artist and by them buying it online or downloading mp3's. It really gives us a fair shot to be heard, sell unit and get bookings without being part of the ugly 5 Headed Monster also known as the "Machine"
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
(Pop)At this point we are just trying to create opportunities for ourselves which puts you in a better position to deal with these Corporate Conglomerates. I really see the DYI method as a better way especially if you have a team of people who believe in what you do and want you to be successful vice having these people at the labels who view it as just a job. (Che') So we are going to ride with our team and see how it grows, we have a lot of industry insiders on our team and its so wierd how they are steering us to do this independent thing.
Band History:
LOCHANAN
Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., hiphop became a part of their lives at a very early age. Inspiration came from many different places, Che Logan was a huge fan of Kool G Rap coming up while Pop Buchanan’s inspiration came from his older brother Ace Debiosi. While in High School Che and Pop decided to turn what was once a hobby a full time job, thus the adventure began. Under the moniker Dot Com Lochanan has had a small taste of success. They recorded a song called "Bananas" with the group the Council, which played on a very influential N.Y. radio station Hot 97. Knowing they would not be focal point of the project Lochanan decided to move on and continue the journey alone. Change was eminent and the duo decided to not only change their rout but their name as well. Lochanan is a hybrid of both of their last names, "we took the Lo from Logan and the Chanan from Buchanan and created Lochanan, we felt that would give us the freedom to be our selves rather than characters" says Pop. As time went on most people who came in contact with Lochanan wanted to maintain a relationship. Lochanan has had the pleasure of recording songs with the likes of Mr. Cheeks, Big Jazz and also has had the opportunity to work with producers such as D.R. Period and Hassan of Phantom of the Beats. Knowing success is only an ear away at all times the duo continues to work on their craft tirelessly until they get the opportunity to be seen and heard. Che insists "I let the music speak for itself and when opportunity meets our preparation I’m sure we’ll shine, it’s just a matter of time
