A Heavy Metal band that plied it's trade at the height of the METALLICA and thrash dominated Metal scene in the late 80's. DT had elements of a more trad-metal approach along with some thrash tendencies.
Why this name?
We just wanted something rude that people would be shocked by at the time..you know how it is when you're a male in your early 20's...

Randy subconsciously swiped the title to the AC/DC instrumental called "D.T." from the "Who Made Who" album and tacked on "Seizure" to it just to make it more nasty. That's really all there was to it...
Do you play live?
Not anymore. We've been disbanded now for over 14 years. We used to play a lot in Portland, ME though. Mostly at Geno's Pub and the Dry Dock. We also had a chance to play down in Manhattan once, which was quite a lot of fun. If ANYONE has live tapes recorded from any of our shows, please contact Randy!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Even a defunct band can garner a following!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not for this band.
Band History:
D.T. Seizure was formed in Portland, Maine (USA) in the Winter of 1988. In the summer of 1989, the band's demo, "Name Your Poison", was recorded at Sound Harbor Studios in Westbrook, Maine. There were plans for a second, self-titled demo being made, including the songs "Dead Man's Switch", "Worse Comes to Worst", "Where the Wild Things Are" and DT's cover of the Allman Bros. song "Whipping Post". Unfortunately the band broke up in the Winter of 1990 due to health problems within the band. Vocalist Randy Michaud has recently resurfaced in his own band called Troglodyte Dawn and also fronts the classic metal band, Tykküs. Bassist Kevin Mack briefly jammed with several bands in the Phoenix area including Race Bannon, Alpha del Omega and Phineas Gage before going MIA. Guitarist Tom Hall spent some time playing with the Barry Arvin Young Band in Portland after the breakup of DT. Drummer Brian Higgins played with several bands in the Portland area including Hair o' the Dog, The Horror and Rocktopus.
