Evil Olive
NEWS
Our latest CD, Evil Olive, will be in store(s) soon. The best way to get one is to find us at a show and give us a buck or two for it. If you can't do that, email me:

, and I'll make it happen. The buck or two is really optional. Some of the songs from Evil Olive should be online here soon, also.

Our debut CD, Ready, is still available. You can also play and download all 6 tracks here at Soundclick. Just click "Music" in that ugly yellow box to your right.

Evil Olive
is a three (or sometimes four) piece band hailing from the small burg of Capshaw, Alabama. Our focus is on creating original music. To that end, we have recorded two CD's, and intend to begin our third (tentatively titled Rabbits Should Not Be Pets) in early 2005. Visit our website for more info:

Why this name?
It contains the word 'Evil', and frankly, we're into that kind of thing.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Thank god the internet came along. Otherwise, the 47 people who have visited this page might have never heard of us.
Also, thank god for the whole digital music thing. Recording on analog may be "warmer", but damn is it hard. I love my 'undo' button.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure. Starting bid is $10 million.
Band History:

Evil Olive started out as a 4 piece band in early 2003. We recorded one CD and performed a handful of times as an "Electric Rock" band, with a full kit drummer. Unfortunately, our drummer Jeff had to take a hiatus due to an arm injury.

In mid-2004, still drummer-less, we switched gears and began playing in an all-acoustic configuration. We recorded a 2nd CD, Evil Olive, during this time, and began to perform at open-mic venues.

The start of 2005 has been active for the Olive, as we are finally starting to book some shows. Check out our gig listing here, or on our website for the latest gig dates.
Your influences?
Our sound runs the gamut, but is usually based in rock or folk. Some have described us as "Angry Folk".
