Welcome to Roxy's page!
Here's a bit about me:
My name is Roxanne Andrighetti but most of my friends call me Roxy. I'm half-persian, half-italian, I grew up in Zaire where singing was just a part of life, so if there's one thing in the world that makes me happy, it's singing, brings me back to that blissful state of childhood... awww...
I also love dance,(salsa, merengue and hiphop are among my fav) I also enjoy writing, stories, songs and poetry, doing art and traveling.
A friend of mine told me about this website so I thought I'd post my stuff here and see what people think, I hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by! :)

Why this name?
See, that's a nice thing about doing solo singing, you get to have your own name as the band name...yay!
Do you play live?
I play every Sunday at a restaurant/bar outside of town. I've also played at quite a few retirement homes and hospitals.
I play live occasionally on open mic nights at a few places downtown, the LMC is a great place to check out every Friday and there's also my ever-favourite places: Baha'i youth coffee houses, such a great atmosphere to play for, I just love it!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's nice to be able to have your music easily accessible and available for others to hear. There are a few down parts for the music industry of course, with music piracy and whatnot, but for the most part I'd say the internet's been pretty good for new artists to get their music out there, so it's not all that bad.
Favorite spot?
The Peace Park in Nagasaki, Japan
Anything else...?
Feel free to post me a note in my message board to let me know you stopped by, I'd love to hear from you, let me know what you think...!
