Water For Free is a four piece band from the Dixon/Davis area and 3 of our members are originally from Dixon, California. The band is made up of Dean O'Neill on vocals and rhythm guitar, Nick Heeney on lead guitar, Nico Starr on bass and Steven Medd on drums.
Why this name?
I don't know I think I recall Steven saying something about how you can get matches in hotels for free, but no free water and how he just wanted water for free but that may not be the real story.
Do you play live?
Yes we play live at a variety of venues and house parties. But mainly coffee shops.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet and mp3's makes it a lot easier for muscians to get out there and get heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes but not until we've gone over everything with our lawyers.
