Sinforosa is an electro-acoustic dark-pop band based in the Seattle area. Featuring the vocal talents of Traci Lee Nemeth, Sinforosa combines acoustic and electric instrumentation to create a unique blend of dark storytelling and pop-song accessability. Currently woring on their second CD, Sinforosa released their debut, "Deadly Faerie Tales", in 1999, and an accompanying video for thier single "Just Like You".
Captivating listeners on both recorded medium and live performance, Sinforosa is a truly individual project n the current musical climate, creating arty pop music about life, love, death, sex, and other dark pursuits.
Fans of The Sundays, Mazzy Star, Cranes and Tori Amos (just to anme a few) will enjoy the artistic bent Sinforosa place on their pop-songs; a wonderful mix of the mischief and playfulness.

Why this name?
Sinforosa is the name of a character in an Italo Calvino novel entitled "The Baron in The Trees". If you want to know more, pick up the book and read, it's a wonderful story.
Do you play live?
We play in the Pacific Northwest, everywhere from Portland, OR to Vancouver BC. We love playing live, to 2 or 200 people!

Ah the Rock Star dream! We'd be happy just to quit our day jobs. What artist wouldn't want to create for a living?
Band History:
Starting as an acoustic side project in 1995, Sinforosa has been an electro-acoustic four piece since 1997.
Your influences?
Sinforosa is influenced by all these types of music, yet sounds like none solitarily: Jazz, gothic, world, techno, rock, folk, country, classical.
