Why this name?
Band secret.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
RIAA: that answers your question.
I think the music industry needs to tailor itself more to the listener and take heed of the ever-expanding musical tastes of people who can find a wealth of independant music online that is much better than most of the garbage thrown into their ears on the radio and tv.
The music industry is behind the times, there needs to be more online sampling of music in mp3 format with NO limitations.
This way they could give a taster to a wide range of people without having them resort to P2P networks, which I do condone, but do not like mass hoarding of popular recordings illegally.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely, there's no point in carefully constructing fantastic music with an important message laid in it if its recieving audience is miniscule, as money-hungry as the major labels are if you play the market you are almost guaranteed to have more influence than if you go independant.
Your influences?
Radiohead, Tool, Autechre, Smashing Pumpkins, Godspeed you black emperor, Sigur Ros, Opeth, The Verve, Pink Floyd.
