Tommy John Ehman and David Evans made up the duo Idle Rains who were a maintsay on the Saskatchewan music scene for a number of years. This site is dedicated to their two albums called Wasted Nights and To The Wall released in 1996 and 2002.
Why this name?
We had about 50 names to choose from. We narrowed it down to 2 or3, then we voted and Idle Rains won.
Do you play live?
We do play live mostly in Saskatchewan which is a Province in western Canada and we love it!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a great avenue for independant bands to get their music to their fans, but at the same time is has allowed for others to take what they have not purchased! As a musician, this upsets me!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely!!

Your influences?
We have been compared to band like Blue Rodeo, Steve Earle, Tom Petty and John Mellencamp. We are sort of rock with roots!
Favorite spot?
I Love to spend time in the country. Nice and quiet. Great for songwriting.
Equipment used:
Drums and guitars all the way with a little keyboards and other things thrown in as well.
