The Cimbri is a solo/side project. It explores mythological concepts, conveying these ideas through the medium of black metal and acoustic music. The black metal influences are primarily Eastern European, with tracks being long and mid-paced, with musical focus on the harmony between two guitars. There are very few vocals.
Why this name?
The Cimbri were an ancient wandering people of scandinavia - approx. 6th century.
Your influences?
Eastern European black metal primarily- namely Hate Forest and Drudkh. There are also influences from Norwegian bands such as Ulver.
Anything else...?
Much of the inspiration comes historical sites of ancient importance, such as bronze age settlement grounds.
