Sup? This is Stephonne Singleton aka Angelus. I come straight outta Kansas City, Kansas and am a singer/songwriter just tryin to get up in the industry or die makin music. I have been singin since my chops were formed and have been doin classical and choral music since 4th grade. Im 19 and I am all about music whether it be writing songs, performing, or recording. My music comes from emotions, wants and needs. Its all soul because it comes from my soul, planted there by God and musical mentors like Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Missy Elliot and more. The sound is different, mixing Alt. rock, hip hop, soul, pop and some industrial, electronica, oldschool r&b, and folk stuff for yall to vibe on. I don't like to be tied to one musical genre because music goes beyond genres and sounds. Its a feeling and thats what I am about creating, wether it be feelings of intimacy, God, society or the struggles and situations we all find ourselves in from day to day. I try to keep it real so u won't hear me always preachin to the choir or being socially concious because thats not real all the time. We are all sinners and my art is an extention of me, a sinner, so I wont pretend to be perfect and blurr out the cuss words or subject matter. No apologies or regrets when it comes to my art. Just a warning for yall who are like, "I cant believe he jus said that!" Beleive I did and if u like it great and if u dont turn it off. I am me and this is my music. Wether u dance, bob your head, get mad, cry or turn the sh*t off i know it impacted u and thats what my job is (smiles). So Fake bustas, tired mcs and machine engineered sangers make way and let me in the game. I'll let the music say the rest. I'm out.

Old soul and Alternitive rock are heavy influences. Lauryn Hill is a major influence as well as Missy Elliot, Prince, Timbaland and Ms. Eryka Badu. Everything that I listen to is an influence to, whether it be a clip of somthing on the radio or a cheesy baby food commercial, lol. I have been listnin to a lot of Billy Holiday and jazz lately and am in love with Ms. Keys so that will probly translate more over to future music but my style will always be different, unexpected and well....weird, lol. I just hope yall feel it.

Im still figurin that out. I would love to live in France for a little while. But I dif WI and New York doesnt sound to shabby. Kansas will always be home though.

me, a pad, a computer program and a pen. I love to rock/pop stuff too and that takes live instruments but thats enough right? Big shout out to Chapman Recording Studio. They make me sound lovely, lol.
