Why this name?
Our singer (Wendy) came up with it because she liked the way Aether is spelled.
Do you play live?
We have now started gigging yet as we have just acquired a drummer in January. We will soon be gigging anywhere and everywhere that we can go.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the the internet and mp3's have affected the music industry in different ways. Some good and some bad. In a good way the internet has made it easier for bands to get their music heard. In a bad way the internet has made it easier for bands to get their music heard. What I mean is that it seems that the scene is literally flooded with musicians and bands that normally would not be out there because of the extra leg work it used to take to get your name out there. Also, with the invention of mp3's came the easy way for people to get free music.A lot of people actually feel that if they can get the music for free then why pay for it. The ones who really suffer from this are the artists who do the creating. It's really a double edged sword.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it were benificial to Aether then absolutely. What better way to get the music out to be heard?
