The serpent who tempted eve was named Nehesh (The Hebrew Nun-Heh-Shin...ðäù , although commonly spelled Nechesh.) The biblical character of the serpent is a perplexing figure. He is at once accused of being Satan by many modern-day Jews & Christians, yet was also worshipped by other religions, such as the Gnostic Ophites. This represents the perplexing path that spirituality often involves. Reasons as to why the serpent was chosen for this role vary, perhaps it is as simple as the serpent being the symbol of Kundalini. If this is the case, it would make sense that it has so often been villified. Roughly, thats what Nehesh means.

Recording

Nehesh started in 2002 under the name Syzygy as a 3-piece band consisting of Nick(vocal & bass) Russell (drums) and Frank (guitar). In 2003 they acquired two more band members and changed thier name to Nehesh. Within the next two years they would evolve as a band recording a 3-song demo and performing at venus such as: the rock and north on 4th. In 2005 the band transformed back to the origanal three mambers. They are now writing songs and recording an album that will be released in 2006.
