Forming nearly two years ago, the band is comprised of five of the most unlikely creators of metal. Ranging in different influences such as Punk Rock, Hardcore, Black and Death Metal, Glam Rock, Emo, Hip-Hop, Rap, and yes even Pop music. This is the very reason this diverse and eclectic group of musicians can make such richly textured and different music. Based out of Tampa, Florida, this dynamically charged metal band has a talent for churning out a steady blend of ferocious and melodic music backed with brutal vocals. The Band definitely has an evolved sound, going beyond just your run of the mill everyday Metal/Hardcore band.
Why this name?
Well, we were known as "Fall of Man" but we found out that there is a Swedish metal band with the name. So as a band we started to come up with other names, and we agreed that "Left in Ashes" was an awesome name. In our opinion it has a nice ring to it. It screams metal.
Do you play live?
Left in Ashes hails from Tampa, Florida. Formally known as the "Death Metal" capital of the world, Tampa Metal scene is making a come back. We play all types of clubs in Tampa/St.Pete. Left in Ashes will be participating in the 1st Annual Sun n Steel Metalfest! That will be our crowning achievment thus far.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet has enabled bands to get their name and their music out to the people and to the record labels. This doesnt mean that bands have to work less, Left in Ashes works so hard on getting their name out, playing shows, performing to the best of our abilities.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes
Your influences?
Our musical influences range from so many genres of music. Ranging from Metal to Hip-Hop and Funk.
