DJ Marky O residing at the club, DJ Gera, DJ Lus, DJ Xstreme, and of course myself are spining popular music for all you fans out there. Come check it out.
This new site was published on February the 5th.
If you have visited DJ Hera's mp3.com page before, you will notice that much has changed. This music site has less music tracks now, mainly because many of them were lost, due to the termination of an mp3.com website. Anyway, the show must go on. My new page has a message board now, which is a very usefull feature. Hopefully the new launch of the message board will encourage more discussions and a more community like environment.

Welcome to the free club, trance, and dance music website. George McFly's tracks have been downloaded in excess of 10,000 times with a steep curve of increasing number of visitors. George McFly is not your average electronic band; it is a one man band of an ametuer-class electronic musician, rooted in the elctronic scene for many years. George McFly supports electronic artists and promoters in bringing their message to the world.
Why this name?
The act (band) was originally called DJ Hera. I soon discovered that another band was also called that name. I played around with different names by combining different letters and words. But at the end, I finally put the two words together and George McFly was born.
Do you play live?
I do not play live, but If some people wanted me to play live, I would do so. Music for me is an expression. And I would do anything to express it to the others.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is technology that allowed artists to sell recorded music in the first place, and it is technology that now forces them to get back to work! Before recorded music, artists made money by performing before live audiences, selling souvenirs, and endorsing products. For only the last 70 to 80 years have artists been able to sell recorded music.
As technology evolves, it creates and destroys ways of making money. Musicians and singers must conform to these technological changes, and find new ways to make money off their talents. There is simply no turning back. Whether you take down Napster or not, people are still going to get their music free from others on the Internet. Don't bother trying to save the music industry in its current form. It must change. The sooner this is realized, the better.
How will it change? Well, eventually artists are going to wake up and offer their music Free on the Internet. Instead of going to Napster, people will start going to the artist's web page to obtain the music they desire. This will give the artist the opportunity to sell souvenirs, and sell advertising spots. Artists will cut out the middlemen in the music industry who take most of their money. Singers and Musicians will make money like they did before, by live performances, selling memorabilia, and endorsing products (advertising).

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
NO WAY! And there are few reasons for this. First, I am not that good for signing with the major record label. Second, I am truly an independent musician. I really dislike all commercial artists that are real sale off. Third, music is my hobby, and I am not looking making any money. I have millions of dollars in salary. And finaly the last one, as I already mentioned, I am planing to open my own independent record label. P.S. On the second thought, what the hell am I talking about, surely I would like to sign with a major label; however, it seems unrealistic at that very moment, because, let's face it, my music is not for the masses. I will however, continue my music jorney, and nothing will stop me from doing that.
Band History:
George McFly made his debut first as a DJ Hera at mp3.com on Sunday September 30th, 2002. It started with the pre-recorded loops mix made with the help of Techno Ejay software. Tracks were released on the Internet and as the public showed much interest in the music, George McFly focused more resources and time, aiming to further progress as a musician and artist. The name of the first track was Helicopter. For the first track it was received quite well by the mp3.com community, that is why the track took #27 position in the overall electronic charts. Currently, George McFly embarks on producing his new CD, estimated release date: End September - Early October 2004. George McFly also has a plan on opening his own independent record label.
Your influences?
About my early musical influences, perhaps a quick and easy response would be that among our 20th century icons Queen, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Jean Michelle Jarre, Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyke were the first to influence my work. Later, Trance[]control,
PPK and TechnoUsa clearly left their marks on my musical thought. All of these influences are still in effect – only more disguised. I grew up listening to music from a great many different sources including for instance MTV, VH1, MUZZTV, and many more... There was always a natural affection for anything unusual in music and many of those influences had an electronic nature.

Favorite spot?
The City of Moscow, a cultural and political focal point of Mother Russia.
Equipment used:
FL Studio 4.5.1, Storm 2, Acid Pro 4, Sounforge 6, Ejay, Orion Pro, Rebirth, Mixmeister Pro 5, Traktor DJ Studio 2, Ableton Live 2.1.1, VSTi/DXi
Anything else...?
As you can see, this is a pretty massive and comprehensive thingy. One might even say obsessive. And it's growing all the time, too! Soon it will take over the Internet, eating other musicians in its merciless rampage. Even at this meagre state it's doubtful that you could go through it all in one sitting (but you're welcome to try). P.S. If you hate this website, then you obviously didn't take it with a pound of salt like you were supposed to. Go take your anal-retentive sense of humour elsewhere.
