Why this name?

Dante is my middle name. I was originally called Copedaddy but that name is lame.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

In the beginning people used to stand on the srteet corner and play music. If the music was good they were paid. Now anybody can get an illegal copy of fruity loops and make music. If the music is good somebody will sample it. If the music sucks no one will know. The mp3 garuntees that good artists will never make money. Too many digital producers... unoriginal producers.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would like to sign with a major label but they only sign punchline rappers and marketing gimmicks. No real artist will ever be signed again, only ones who got shot or cracked their jaw in a crash. No dis to Kanye and Fifty but if the sh*** never happened to them they would be still on the corner.

Band History:

I start making beats in highschool on a yamaha psr540 keyboard. I made the song "Latin ish" on the keyboard. I then moved up to using Fruity Loops. Most of the beats and music on this site were made using fruity loops. Now I have a band (drums, guitar, trumpet, saxophone, and piano) that I play with on the regular. I am now trying to evole hip hop to what it should be REAL music for REAL people.

Your influences?

I used to try to be like Timbaland when I was unaware of how unoriginal his music was. So as of right now my musical influences are the Lovin Spoonful, ?uestlove, and Nas (quite a mix).

Favorite spot?

I'm a rolling stone, jus lookin for a place to call home.
