Prometheus is a one-man (sometimes siding with other producers) project of dance music. The music is quite melodic and all electronic.
Why this name?
I wanted something that was symbolic of who I am.
Do you play live?
Yes, at clubs and parties. There's really no greater feeling.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps a lot for promotion, as long as it's used responsibly and respectfully.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, without a doubt.
Band History:
After delving into many styles and genres, many bands and many solo projects, I have finally found an outlet that I actually want to stick with for good. I've studied music for many years and I am also classically trained in many aspects. I incorporate my musical knowledge into everything I do.
Your influences?
My influences range from The Cure and Depece mode, to Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren to Chopin and composers of the romantic era. Classical, to the most modern music alive today.
Favorite spot?
New Orleans
Equipment used:
I use an Ensoniq Mirage (from 1984), a Vaio Laptop with Reason, Recycle, Cubase, Cool Edit Pro, Acid, and Soundforge. I also use a newer Yamaha Clavinova. Most tones I use are modified samples found from wherever and synth patches.
Anything else...?
Hope you all enjoy, and let me know your opinion.
