How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for music fans to get ahold of great songs. Unfortunately the RIAA is not smart enough to take advantage of that and would rather sue their own customers.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. Artistic freedom is a wonderful thing, and generally they can afford to offer you that. When it gets down to it it's about the music, and if you can make your music better you should.
