Lokyata is from Jacksonville, FL and play a blend of death metal, hardcore,and funk. We have a stick to your roots D.I.Y. attitude, and are really just big fans of experimental heavy music.
Do you play live?
We play alot of shows locally at Thee Imperial in Jax, but more than anything we play regionally in the Southeast.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It exposes people to a lot of music that they wouldn't normally get to hear and that is something that we believe has done alot for music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It truly depends on the type of freedoms that we were allowed as a band and creators of OUR music.
