His name is Benny Small. When the late, great Biggie Smalls was around, people used to make fun of him, asking him if I was his cousin, so he shortened the name.

He sings with a live band every Friday night in Miami, unless he gets another gig with the band he performs with. The name of the band is Horizons, and he is the front man, doing corporate events, weddings, etc. Pays better. ;)

The internet changes everything, because now your music can be heard on a global scale.

At first he used to say No, because he didn't think that they would be fair, since he's a songwriter as well, but on much research, he's finding that they prefer that, because it's less work for them. :)

Born in Wandsworth, England and raised on the island of Barbados, gospel music became my first major musical influence. From the age of 8, I sang lead and learned how to harmonize in the church's choir.

Participating in choir and musical theater productions became an integral part of my teenage years. In high school I began writing ballads, one of which won 25th place out of 1000s’ in the 1999 World-wide Music Award for Freedom song-writing contest. I formed a four part a-cappella group, called Contrast at the suggestion of my high school chorus teacher, Mrs.D'Angio.

I've been performing with a band in South Florida for 4 years now as their lead male vocalist. Just paying my dues and plain having fun while I perform... getting my flirt on.. ya know.. lol. I also just finished recording my EP, "Victim of The Game." Everything you hear vocally is me... lyrics, melodies and harmonies. Be warned!! This "baby making music" is lethal!! ;o)
