1994 - 1995 - the roots

Three founding members maxi,nil and bivs where at this time formed/with there seperate bands. Maxi and nil was in a crust/metal/hardcore outfit named CBE which played riffs and shouted in a way made at that moment, too early for there time. Bivs on the other hand was in a straight forward punk, vulgar ridden lyrics punk band named Anal Scream which eventually progressed into playing ska-punk.

1997 - to those who claim they were the first

bivs relates :

"This is the year I heard the first emo veined band, named Barrier, headed by Rey Peace Bravo. It struck me that a band like this, playing in a gig populated with H.C. bands sing about heart ache and struggle. It was for me, very brave. Very punk! "

1998 - the take off

Maxi and bivs for the first time was together in a emo/punk rock band spacecow with memot of anal scream on drums and zig mirasol on vox. they only lasted for a year due to personal reasons.

1999 - the birth

After space cow maxi and bivs wasnt ready to rest and stay quiet, planned of forming a band. Not just any kind of cover ass/fashionista kind of punk act. But a tight group that will break the rules of punk, enovating, unscared, stretching but still true to the sensibilties of punk music in general. They soon asked dustin(who was currently with Counter Attack) to play drums with them. and so lotus pride was formed...
for one year they practiced all they composition and stayed below the radar. They inteligently focused on composition to be able to release a record which in the process made them unknow and technically became a studio band...

2000 - a touch of existence through recording

At this time they where proud to release their demo album entittled "dont get us wrong(y2k demo)." a 4 song record with songs like history,follow the swans, in and out of pain and we'll be o.k. At this point no one knew of them but organizers started posting their name on the line up which made them prove that they were recognize not by their cover songs , but by their being humble and hardwork.
Then after 3 months of the release, maxi left the band because he didnt felt like playing anymore. so the remaining members looked for two members to fill in the space and found reinell and paolo (who was then/still with holding hands) who was open enough to continue the pride.. .

2001 - setting the stage

At this time they recorded and released a six song promo CD for fanzine editors and alike to have an idea of the added embrace with the two new members. They continued rehearsing their composition and played in underground gigs and club in their home town laguna and several places outside the area....

2002 - humble efforts and harwork pays off

Lotus Pride atlast released a 12 song LP entitled " reflections and standing moments." 10 studio recording and 2 songs made on a 32 mb/celeron procressor on a modplug tracker software. they are at the moment playing on gigs and promoting their lp

latest update reinell has left the band because of his tight schedule. ... still they are still existing and ready for the next record to be released....
