Why this name?
when we got ditched by a couple of our friends one night we realized how truly lame we really are...
Do you play live?
sure we play live... when we have time to and are in the same city... it's a good 20-30 minutes of mayhem... we dont like to stop very long between songs.... maybe thats why a typical set is only 18 minutes long...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
i dont really know... i like to hold an album as i'm listening to it... on the other hand mp3s and the internet save the bands money so they dont have to make so many demos and press kits that get trashed without getting listened to...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
would i be able to retire, buy a house, set up a recording studio and not have to worry about paying bills and be able to rock out for the rest of my life??? i guess the answers would be probably not...

so where do we begin? Ahhhhh... how about with a beer and a guitar. Actually that isn't entirely correct. The lames began with several beers and probably two guitars, within the constraints of a dorm room in good old Washington, DC. Let's put things into perspective for you... If you combined the sounds of Kenny G. with the musical inclinations of Foghat, you would not have the lames. What you would have, however, would be a really horrible band. We're not really about anything other than having a good time. The one thing we can truly be deemed is beer-influenced punk rock... yay....
