NEWS   I'd like to say a big thank you to every one that helped push Sunshine by the Sea even higher yesterday.

It's now #98 in Electronic out of 289,490 songs and #27 in Dance out of 19,206 songs which I think is pretty good.

For anyone who is yet to listen or download, please visit http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9326647 today and help get it even higher.

We started making music in our amature recording studio where we have been slowly bringing it together making it more advanced.
After 2 years of the studio being in storage, we've now re-built it and made it even better. All we're lacking now is a decent singer. =]
Most of the material is written and produced by Martin as Steve tends to spend a lot of time out of the country, however when he does provide input, we tend to get much nicer, flowing guitar riffs and leads.
Why this name?
Until 2008 the band was called freeloader, however due to getting several emails from fans of another freeloader band, we decided it was time to change to something a little more original.

We decided that AutoLoad was something more appropriate as not, only do we use the AutoTune plugin in many of our songs, but by keeping an essence of our previous name, it created a new title which has various connotations to computerised music. i.e. when you put a CD in your PC, the Autoload feature asks you how to best use the particular CD that you have put in.

So all in all, we think that AutoLoad is a much more original, yet suitable name for outselves.
Do you play live?
We've never played live as:
a) We haven't had the chance
b) We tend to make music in stages playing each piece and instrument seperatley in our sequencer. So that can't easily be reproduced efficiently in a live situation.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it makes music more widely available which gives new artists more scope to get their music played. However there are so many new artists that the chances of someone like myself ever getting noticed, without sufficient marketing and a decent fan base, are reasonably slim.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
Your influences?
Keyboards, drums and vocals are our favoirite aspects to music. We like to be able to use or create a sound that is different and exciting.
