One man band of sorts. I enjoy playing guitar and have messed around with it for the last few years, but only in the last year and a half have I actually put much effort into. I play the kind of music I like to listen to, try not to get in over my head and just keep things simple. I'm all about the groove.
Do you play live?
Nightly shows in my dining room aka Cracked Plaster Studios. There was this one time when the dog seemed genuinely impressed.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's a great way for musicians to not only reach a new audience, but get feedback from listeners and musicians alike on their music. It's nice to have your friends tell you that you rock, but honest opinions can be found here and that can only make you better.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I guess that would all depend on the circumstances. Perhaps as a songwriter or rather riffmeister, but I really have no interest in being "discovered" and having to turn my favorite hobby into a job.
Your influences?
I'm a huge fan of guitar oriented instrumental rock. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Jeff Beck are my biggest influences, however I sound very little like any of them. I love Joe's tone, Steve's ideas and Jeff's groove.
