Why this name?
I broke up my Hebrew name (Binyamin) and got Yamin.
Do you play live?
Yeah, I play live. I do mostly DJ gigs in and around the Boston area. I'm offen accompanied by another muscian i.e. sax player or drummer. The last great gig I did was in New York, jamming with Bobby Mcferrin's son on the beatbox and me on the tables(scratching etc...).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows people from all over the globe to hear your music. I think it's a very valuable resource.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. One reason is because as a DJ, I think it's important to have the actual vinyl in your hands. And it gives you more clout as a muscian.
Band History:
DJ Yamin has been DJ'ing and Producing beats for over ten years. He has played with such bands as The III Kings, RadioActive(Spearhead), Mission:, B-Sides, Narrow Path(Moosaka).
