7DD has taken many steps to greatness in the past few years. They have played hundreds of shows, and entertained 10's of thousands of fans all over the Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and most parts of the Oklahoma area. They have released a CD entitled "Lost" that was produced by Grammy award winner David Teegarden. The Music of 7DD has been given air play on numerous regional radio stations such as Tulsa Z104.5 the Edge KMOD 97.5 Pittsburg, KS. 99.1 and many others.
7DD is a real band, with real everyday issues. Their music reflects the events in everyday life, love, and tragedy. They are bearing their souls with each note they play. They put out tremendous energy which is obvious in their audiences expression. Formed from the influences of the low tuned heavy guitar sound of the new rock movement and the melancholy aura of the music of the early 90's. The music is best described as radio friendly metal...with its dark riffs and driving grooves it is definitely metal and its all backed up with the most explosive live show you'll ever see, the audience is forced to move, there is nothing like it. For those of you that have seen them perform you know how intense they are, for those of you who haven't seen them yet BRACE YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!
Why this name?
Cut a bunch of words out of a newspaper and chose 3 words.
Do you play live?
We play mainly OK., KS., TX., and MO.
7DD got the opportunity to play in front of thousands of more fans when they played the Vans Warped Tour in Kansas City's Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre June 27th, 2002 and Wichita, KS. Greyhound Park June 23rd 2003. 7DD was given the opportunity to play the Vans Warped Tour twice when they entered into Ernie Balls online Battle of the Bands contest. They were selected out of over 2600 entries to be 1 of 4 to play in Kansas City to represent Ernie Balls BOTB 6 & 7. It was very exciting to be there to see the crowds reaction when 7DD started playing.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Helps get your music out to the people that would never get to see you as a unsigned band.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
Band History:
Seven Day Delusion was formed almost 5 years ago, when a few friends thought they would start a band, never even touching an instrument before, they started their a band. They practiced in the Koscelny families, garage, that barely has enough room for them, let alone all their equipment, but with hard work and a lot of practice, six months later they began played their first gig.
Your influences?
Metallica, Deftones, Nirvana, and Godsmack.
Anything else...?
7DD goal is to continue to make music that they enjoy to listen to. They don't write anything that they don't think is as good or better than anything on the radio. They want the music to speak for itself and they know that it will. Of course everyone's "Ultimate Goal" is success, although, they believe success is when opportunity knocks and preparation answers. They will continue preparing until opportunity knocks.
