Description:
A fusion of street beats, symphonic lines, deep bass, and abstract scratches. The future sound of sampled music.
My Genre:
Turntablism
My Method:
It starts with the dig at the record store looking for those deep breaks and
samples. From there, back to the house where I listen to the purchased records
to find material that might be worth sampling. I load up Cakewalk Pro Audio 9
and record the samples from the tables into it. Sometimes I tweek them on the
table (scratches, transforms, fades, etc) and almost always in Cakewalk by
adding effects, chopping, mixing, looping. I usually grab a melody which can
come from string lines, piano lines, guitar lines, or whatever else grabs me
first. Then I get a tympo, and throw down a drum break that I have. Sometimes I
may play a bass line, on the electric bass or play a string line in the
background on the keys. But, I would say that 95% of it is sampled. If needed, I
put in a scratch solo. And that is my method.

Why this name?
It came to me in a dream...no...It's my real name...no...im from another planet...no...you figure it out.
Do you play live?
I will if anyone wants to book me. All you have to do is call me up and if you are not in the area, pay for transportation, housing, and all that jazz. Pretty easy.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Allows over play of the pop songs of the days, makes record industries mad, and gives us indie artists another hope in hitting it big.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell ya! Anyone who says they are in it JUST for the music is lieing ot you. They want the money, they want the fame, they want the chicks, and a big record label has the power to do that. Not that im desprate for one though...
Band History:
