Why this name?
Great deal of our music has always been based on improvisation and relying on intuitive skills to make music. Philosophically the color of indigo is regarded as representing intuition and awareness. So in a sense it's our musical revival of ideas and feelings beyond that what you can get with just combining deep blue(s) and violet.

And it sounds way cool too :D:D:P
Band History:
In 2004, the guitar slinging twin brothers Rami and Arto joined forces with Cena, the giant drum-banging extraordinaire . Before that they frequently bumped into each other at the local pub and spoke about music. Finally after between few and many nights of beer tasting the bunch decided to gather around for a jam session.

In the spirit of the blues, psychedelia and indie rock the band immediately found a mutual sound. They began to play all sorts of improvised instrumentals, freak outs, some covers and such. Oh the fun and excitement!

However the band missed a bassist for a long time so gigging was not first on the list. It was a home-recording studio jam band kind of a deal for the first few years.

In 2007 one of the twin brothers Rami was experimenting with writing lyrics and started to include vocals to the mix that sparked original songs and demos.

Indigo Revival had their first gig in late 2008. Still no bassist but no problem. Octave pedals and vintage Marshall Super Bass amp stacks, enough said.

While locally gigging here and there with a little success starting to form the band took a more serious approach to their own material and began to record their first album.

After few breaks and a hiatus the brothers Arto and Rami are continuing to work in their project studio and hoping for a 2012 release for the Indigo Revival EP/LP. The ultimate inspired experience in sonics and feel.
Equipment used:
The basics, guitar, bass and drums. Real instruments. In studio we have gear from low end to hign end. An analog and digital hybrid setup. Some really cool DIY analog outboard gear made by Arto.
