play lo-fi play hi-fi  StarFleet Command Boogie
It's not a band - it's me and I'm a songwritter.
Why this name?
My Mother came up with the name.
Do you play live?
I do not play live but, I would like too if I had help. I have some physical problems and moving equipment makes it hard, but not impossible!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's giving me a chance to let people hear me and bypass the music elete that think they know music and the human soul.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe. Never say never!
Band History:
In the thirty some odd years of being a musician. Jerry has mastered the guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, dulcimer and now, MIDI computer systems. Throughout the Los Angeles, Riverside and now Ventura areas, Jerry has entertained audiences with his upbeat renditions of popular favorites and original pieces.

Jerry has an extensive musical background-he's been associated with studio musicians and performers in L.A. such as Terry Furlong & Gene Barkin, (members of the Grassroots) David Bussey and Darryl Leonard. Jerry has performed his works at UCLA, Junior colleges, high schools and clubs (McCabe's, Whale's Tail, Franky's, etc...) throughout Ventura and L.A.

Jerry's formal training includes ten years with Thomas B. Faigin (his Uncle), an instructor at UCLA, CSU, CSUN and other colleges, schools and organizations in folk, blues and tablature; five years with associates of Ted Greene's and several community college level courses in music theory, songwriting and composition. Jerry (due to his background) also taught music privately and for Parks and Recreation.

Due to physical back injuries, Jerry cannot play in public unless his equipment is set up for him. It would be his greatest wish and enjoyment to see other people play, hear and enjoy his songs!

Your influences?
Pentangle, Beatles, Josh White, Uncle Tom (really), Derik Dixon, Monkees, Alvin and the Chipmonks.
Favorite spot?
Seattle Washington, North Side

It's a HOBBY! I have the best job/career in the world and the best family with a wife and 2 wonderful children. If someone wants to work with me without disturbing my life, I want to do it! I love to make my music work for others!
