Alex Smith is the Violist for the 14th Street String Quartet and has been playing Viola for 10 years. Along his journeys, he has picked up the Violin, and Guitar. He has been studying with Paul Frankenfeld of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the CSYO for 3 years. He has performed in Australia, commissioned a String Quartet for Ryan Pratt, Played a number of Viola Concertos, and is in his 3rd year in high school at the prestigious, School for Creative and Performing Arts. Right now, he is in the process of recording solo viola works, and is about to commission a Viola Sonata, and String Quartet entitled "Four New Words That Instigate Anger" by Aaron Quinn,(www.soundclick.com/aaronquinn).
