Crude, catchy, riff-happy 1983-vintage pop-punk from a Queens, NY trio (vocalist/bassist Frank N., guitarist Greg Fasolino, and drummer Chris Piccione) formerly with The Oppressed. Their efforts range from the crunching head-pounder "I Don't Know Why," to the terse, jagged paean to lost love, "Your Memory." "Don't Know What to Do," meanwhile, balances its catchy pogo hook with a message chastising the ironic conformity of punkdom.
Band History:
Influenced by old punk and Eighties punk and alternative, Outcry were a transitional band, a bridge between the crunching semi-hardcore punk of The Oppressed, and the R.E.M.-style melodicism of N. and Fasolino's next project, The Cave.

While in Outcry, N. and Fasolino also guested on their school chum Pinko Kennedy's obscene comedy-punk project The Penoids.

The pair formed the more R.E.M.-influenced The Cave during 1983-84.

N. later fronted two New York alternative bands, Concrete Witchdoctors and Razor Chamber, and teamed up with Fasolino again for the projects Goatblood Sacrifice, Pump, and The Sea Beasts.

Fasolino later played with The Naked and the Dead, Burning Rome, Rawhead, Wrench, They Eat Their Gods, Lusting for the Cheetah, Sea of Fur, The Deno Blues Gang, and the 2002 reunion of The Naked and the Dead. He currently plays guitar for Bell Hollow, and moonlights in The Green Monster Band.

Drummer Piccione played in a variety of punk and metal bands including Frenzy, The Jinxed, The Rebels, Mangus Beast, Heckate, Cause for Alarm, and Dirtmoch. He later expanded his range of styles, playing drums for country singer Deke Rivers (including a demo session), traditional Irish musician Sean McCabe, and cover band The Answer. Piccione was a member of original rock acts Material Witness, Concrete Jungle, and most recently, Lukabrazi.
