Past event May 2nd "The Beat Music Awards" Vancouver, BC. Mahal was announced runner up and was happy to accept the award from her peers! Go Mahal another one bites the dust.

Mahal was announced as runner up in last night Beat Music Awards in Vancouver, BC. When asked if she was upset she exclaims..."Course not, winning awards are fun, social events., My main goals now is to get the music out there. She is proud and is happy to be nominated.
While Mahal is illuminating the music industry, avenues with potentials of the infinite are unfolding. Mahal turns to music from a realm of different flavors and follows her soul to enlighten the listener.

Why this name?
Mahal: The definition of Love in the Filipino language. Love is also the force behind Mahals' passion in her music. Singing since a child she says, I was born to sing.
Do you play live?
I love playing LIVE! Peformed at the Hollywood Casino in Inglewood, Manchester Bar and Grill, Martinis, 310 Lounge all in Los Angeles and Hollywood. I have also played at Club Voda in Vancouver. My next step is to play at Urban Well in Kitslano, BC.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is making Major Labels think twice about signing new artists now at the same time it filters out the true artist that are always going to pursue music with or without a record deal.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I think the exposure that a major label supplies is irreplacable and spending time with other artists, producers and executives is the exposure every artist needs
Band History:
Currently back in her home town of Vancouver, BC, promoting her music. Mahal stayed in the City of Los Angeles for a few years, where Hollywood whipped Mahal's singing career into a whirl-wind of performances, songs, and dynamic expression. She has learned that singing takes more than a powerful voice, but also the ability to work with other artists and fans to appeal to the music industry .
Your influences?
Hip Hop don't stop! With a lil bit of R&B! And a lil bit of pop to it! Rock to it!
Favorite spot?
The North Shore of Hawaii, Hermosa Beach, California and Whistler, BC.
