The Moonagoo band was formed deep inside the moon some time last year; on a sunny Tuesday afternoon, or it may have been a Wednesday. The idea was that any alien capable of playing an instrument or having even a vague idea of a catchy tune was welcome to come to rehearsals.

After initial chaos, things settled down and some songs even got made. The Moon Aliens then got in touch with Science Fiction & Fantasy Danny Flynn, being the only human being they know.

Danny lives on Earth, but he offered to help all the same.

Why this name?
The name was chosen especially to introduce the Moon Aliens to the people of Earth
Do you play live?
The Moon Aliens play live in the moon, then they send me their songs and ideas. I then play around with them, try to make sense of them. Some I get it right, sometimes not
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has certainly made things possible for all musicians to reach a potentially wide audience. I don't see the internet as changing the music industry especially. I see it more as a process of natural evolution. If you think about it, we as a species have been on the planet many thousands of years, but the music industry, as such, has only been around a relatively short time; fifty years or so? Time will tell how it continues to evolve over the next fifty years
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If a respectable record label was visionary enough to sign up a band who live inside the moon, then yes. Also, think of all the PR opportunities
Band History:
The Moon Aliens tend not to discuss their pasts too much. I could say lots here but I'm sworn to secrecy not to reveal too much about them at the moment
Your influences?
Vangelis, Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream... and someone possibly not as known but cool all the same, a guy called Bassic
Favorite spot?
My favourite spot is one that unkindly appeared on my nose days before I was due to give a talk about my art. I felt so embarrassed about it, yet was too scared to squeeze it. At the beginning of the talk I told everyone about my horrible spot and how ashamed I felt having it glowing on my nose. They all felt sorry for me and the talk went very well, partly thanks to me being brave enough to talk about my spot.

A week later, the spot had fully disappeared; shrinking back deep into my face... to no doubt reappear when I have another big talk to give
