My name is Juli Froelich. I am a singer/songwriter, recently relocated from

Why this name?
It's my name. Well, actually it's my married name. But I'm not married, not anymore. My maiden name was Juli VanMeter, but people always got that screwed up. Go figger...VanHalen, VanGogh, not that tough!
Do you play live?
Well I don't play dead! You can always find me at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS, playing and singing in the campground. I've also been known to take part in last minute girl groups performing on Stage 5. This place is awesome! Check it out: http://www.wvfest.com/
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That's a tough one! The idea of being able to make music for real money is sooo appealing, but, hey! I'm not a kid anymore and doubt I could handle the lifestyle! :(
Your influences?
I'm a huge fan of lyrical acoustic artists of all genres, but my longtime influences and faves have been Joni Mitchell, John Prine, Indigo Girls, and more recently Patty Griffin, Kasey Chambers and Bryan Masters.
Favorite spot?
Hmmm...recently checked out Jamaica (very fun!), but I think I'd have to say anywhere that I'm close to those who are close to me.
Anything else...?
I love music. I always have. My parents were country musicians when I was a kid so there were always jams happening at our house. I was always surrounded by music. It gets into your blood when you're a kid and whether you like it or not it's there to stay! Music is like air.
