Doctor Strangelove
NEWS   Today, a quite unusual event took place when George W. Bush, President of The United States of America, woke to find that he could no longer speak or understand a word of English. To the surprise of all, it soon became clear that the only words that he could understand and speak were Arabic words. This has obviously caused alarm amongst his supporters. Leading psychologists and medical teams have no answer to this sudden ailement and are as baffled as everyone else.

The President, being unable to communicate with fellow aides, decided to take the day off and went home to watch videos of speeches made by Sadam Hussein, Ossamah Bin Laden, and Yasser Arafat. A close familly member was also seen leaving the Whitehouse to go and fetch a copy of the Qu'uran from a local book store so that the President will have something to read at night.

We will keep you updated on any developments in this situation.

Why this name?
I like the 1963 film of roughly the same name directed by Stanley Kubrik and starring Peter Sellers and George C. Scott
Do you play live?
No - but I'm thinking about doing live laptop work one day.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In the best way. The music industry believes that it is only under threat from people downloading copywritten works. But I believe that they are fundamentally mistaken. The Internet, along with the rapid development of quality software for the home producer, has enabled the possibility of listening to music that is not produced by the traditional music industries. These days, I never ever listen to commercially produced music, only music produced by home musicians downloaded for free from sites such as this one. So when the record industry compile their statistics indicating their losses in revenue caused by people downloading from the likes of Kazaar, WinMX etcetera, there is an error in their calculations. The Internet is today beginning to provide the opportunity for the development of a whole new type of industry that disseminates its product in an entirely different way and for different reasons - i.e. non profit making. What we are seeing, I suppose, is the development of a new 'folk' music - "CyberFolk" - ha ha , just thought of that...music produced by ordinary people, for ordinary people - outside of the control of big business.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
After I just wrote that above....well, only if a company offered me a year of sex with Monica Bellucci in my contract (we all have our price, I guess).

Your influences?
Sven Vath, Underworld, Brian Eno, Astral projection, Man With No Name, The Orb - but don't expect these when you hear my music - they are far far better than me.
