Ticker Tape Parade
I am a solo musician and having been in various bands over the past few years i have decided that it is easier and more fun this way. I have recently released one five track e.p, 'This is me' on my own label, 'Wilde Records,' and have started recording my first album which will hopefully be released later this year.
Why this name?
i like stars.
Do you play live?
playing live is one of the greatest things in existence, i do not however, do it enough.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
its good for people like me who has no particular wish or drive to pester record labels, suppose its bad for big bands who are in love with money.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes. i like money. if i could get 100% artistic control i would have no qualms about doing this. i plan to earn enouigh money so i dont have to get a real job and can do this, read books, look at art and get drunk forever.
Band History:
i was previously the frontman of two fairly succesful local bands called Social Insanity and Nova Scotia.
Your influences?
i remind people of Nick Drake, Pavement, Radiohead, Neal Young, Elliot Smith and Ryan Adams, but sound like none of them.
Favorite spot?
a small glade near my house which is surrounded on three sides by water and in the summer is the most beautiful place in the universe
