206 hiphop is only the keyword to find this site. I go by 80-D but that site name was already taken. I do rep the 206 though, and I'm workin on projects with some cats in this area that I'll eventually drop on this site. more details as they arrive.
Why this name?
80-D aka eight zero dash D refers to the disorder I create among the attention deficient.
Do you play live?
currently not signed, no shows, but working on projects with cats locally.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
mp3 has taken over the entire world in less than 10 years. It has revolutionized the music availability from 18.99 a disc to free-fifty instantly. I think this only helps artists.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes. there's only so much a local cat can do. larger labels offer money for production, promotion, and open connections between artists who would've otherwise never worked together.
Your influences?
man... Jay-Z is my f***in man right there. Kanye West is comin with some hot shit, too, and of course the M A dollar sign E. Lyrically, I'd like to invoke Kweli and Big Pun at the same time, but I'd say my style is on it's own.
Favorite spot?
any piece of land that touches water. I was born a cancer... nuff said.
Equipment used:
on my home PC, I'm working with Cakewalk Music Creator, and Cakewalk Home Studio 2003, Fruity Loops, and Soundlab just to f*** around. Looking to upgrade as often as cash permits.
