I am primarily a songwriter with no desire to perform.
Do you play live?
Once in a while when friends ask me to I will play live for them. I prefer the campfire settings to the limelight.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Exposure and support above all. It is also amazing that music can be recorded one moment and on the web the next.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
My goal is to sell songs and I would not turn down an opportunity to make money doing what I love most.
Your influences?
I love just about every singer/songwriter that I know. I am particularily fond of James Taylor, Carly Simon, Carol King, Tom Petty, Annie Lenox, Shawn Mullins, Mark Selby, BNL, Matchbox 20 and LIVE for their writing abilities and styles
Favorite spot?
Chicago of course!..but only in the summertime!
Equipment used:
Very primative equipment. My voice, Jim Deighan's guitar and a drum loop. We record on a handheld digital recorder called the TASCAM POCKETSTUDIO5 and we have little knowledge of the recorder. But I suppose we will learn as we go on!
Anything else...?
Writing songs and my artwork are my passion. I have compiled much of what I have done at my website TANGLED THOUGHTS
