Ten Second Silence is Henry Harrison and Matt Doherty, students at The Rivers High School in Weston, MA. Although their preffered style of music to play is experimental/industrial rock, their can cover a wide range of musical genres and style. Henry does the instruments and programming, and Matt does the vocals.
Why this name?
"While the punk movement dismissed the idea that 'only musicians can make music,' the industrial movement went further, echoing John Cage's dictum that everything was music."
Cage decided that four minutes and thirty three seconds of silence was music. Ten Second Silence gets its name from this idea; their name is a tribute to John Cage.
