Pena choose the band name because this name seems with the band's songs; minatory, brutal and aggressive.
Do you play live?
Yes, we do. We forgot the concert's numbers that Minatory played... We played a lot live in some pub's or festivals. We like it a lot.
The special moments it's the stagedive of the fans.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes, the internet changes the music industry causing damage of them (about free musics providing by mp3).
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. We don't have a record contract with a major label, yet. But we are seeking a label that want to work with Minatory's musics.
Band History:
Minatory was started in 2000 when Mili, a guitarrist, was looking for other musicians to start a band. Mili met Rodrigo, drummer, who was interested to playing Death Metal. Rodrigo met Marcelo, vocals, who was interested to started a thrash / Death metal band.
Mili, Rodrigo and Marcelo started composig some musics. This musics attracted a neighbour who invited a band to record their first “Demo Tape” called “Allision of Souls”. This “Demo Tape” was recorded in improvised studio, placed in a garage.
Two months ago, Paulo, other guitarrist and Leandro, bassist, joined the band after Marcelo asked them about joing the band.
Minatory first played in 2001 performing in local clubs with good acceptace.
Minatory was second placed on Independent band’s festival of Curitiba promoted by Bill's pub, Rockbrazil website and Beltrão & Beltrão studio (June / December 2001).
In June 2002, Minatory recorded their first Demo Cd called “Spiritual Damnation”. It was recorded, mixed and masterized in 13 hours, with 8 soundtracks.
This cd had a good acceptance in reviews posted by Whiplash website, Rockbrigade Magazine – Brazil (Nunber 195, october 2002), Metalmaidens Magazine #34, december 2003 (Netherlands) and BreakOut Mag 01, january 2004 (Germany).
