OTTO'S DAUGHTER began as a project between East German born Jacqueline Van Bierk and Californian native Hamid "Ace" Velcro in 1996. By October of '98 they were performing shows at clubs like CBGB's, The Bank and the Continental garnering growing support from fans and promoters alike. By November they had released their first demo.
1999 brought changes, after a visit with Trent Reznor at Nothing Studios in New Orleans, the band renewed their effort in writing new material. With a new live line-up consisting of Jacqueline Van Bierk (Vocals), Hamid "Ace" Velcro (Drums-Loops), Cedric Halbach (Keys) and Eric "Evil" Agnello (Guitars), OTTO'S DAUGHTER began their assault on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.
To compare this band to anyone else would be unrealistic as their music is a blend of Industrial-Goth and Techno-Rock that can at one moment gently stroke your being with sweet caresses and then turn around and body slam you to the floor. To say that the live show is powerful is an understatement, as club after club has said, "of all the bands to come through these doors, Otto's Daughter are the one who will break."
Truly a spectacle of sexually charged energy and intense stage presence, Jacqueline is simply a "must see" as the band rips and tears through their set. WARNING though, standing anywhere near Ms. Van Bierk during a show may cause you to be tarred and feathered with blood and glitter (and the occasional flying doll part!)

Band History:
We've been through quite some people over the past two years. OD started out as a project and was fromed into a band in Oct.98. To make it short, we've been through hell and on our way out.
Your influences?
Our influences come from many places, mostly feelings from deep down inside ourselfs, music we like and gel with are Marilyn Manson, Nails, Bauhaus, Tori and many more. We like to take a sound and make it our own, distortion, crunchy guitars, sick childlike piano/synthsounds.
