NEWS Well, what's new... Well I recently signed to GoodGreef Managment, and my first release on Hotwax with John Whitemann has been success. Also, my mix of TDV's The Dawn has been getting MASSIVE support and a bit of heat from Mr Paul Janes himself, hence the fact it's not up anymore.

DarkByDesign is Gareth West, I have been producing for about a year and a half. I'm just breaking into the scene with DJ's such as Lisa Lashes, Ed Real, Ingo, Eddie Halliwell, Alex Kidd & Shan supporting my tracks.

I've had my productions played nationwide at such events as Good Greef, Sundissential, Fantasy Islandand Tidy Trax' very own Seaside madness tour, The Tidy Weekender.

Unfortunately, since my signing to Good Greef is official, I have been asked to remove all my downloadable tracks from here, however I will be upping previews for feedback.

Gaz (DbD)

Why this name?

DarkByDesign is one of my many pseudonyms, I originally chose DbD for reason being I like my music hard and dark, but I've been doing some more uplifting stuff so had to produce under other names, Gaz West (my own name), ArchAngel (my fave xmen character) and a couple of other secret ones. :)

Do you play live?

I dont play live, but you can bet your ass I will be doing, DJing and Live PA, if good greef get their own bloody way anyway!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet helps up and coming musicians get their foot in the door of the music industry, which helps people out on both sides. Record Labels and Up n Coming Producers.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

No. I have other loyalties :)

Your influences?

Lab-4, Paul Glazby, Lisa Lashes, ASYS, DJ Scott Project, Cosmic Gate.... and so on.... far too many.

Favorite spot?

Blackpool, had some amazing times there, the Las Vegas of the UK!
