SoundClick artist: Phil Alexander - Parody artist with a penchant for wit and wordplay

This isn't a band, it's just me... I write songs, usually parodies, and occasionally get the chance to record stuff.

This seemed like a good sort of site to give people access to the recordings. I hope you like them: I like to think they're kind of funny

Do you play live?

I've played beside many a campfire, and for friends and at parties and stag nights. Have been playing with the rrrants collective (www.rrrants.com) for just over a year now, and am often seen at open mikes and the like.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

There's a lot more music out there now, but the industry acts as a filter.. thing is, it's not necessarily the bad stuff that the music industry filters out. At least with the internet, you get the chance to find the music the industry can't be bothered with.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the money was right, of course ;-)
