Original blues, based on a different approach to fingerpicking guitar, with lyrics that are relevant today..
Why this name?
An image that just occured to me one day in the early 1980s.....getting the blues broadcast to as many people as possible.
Do you play live?
Festivals and clubs all over the East Coast and Southeast for 3 decades, I really like performing live much more than I like doing everything that has to be done to make it happen.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Single songs are going to be the unit of sale, rather than an album with possible hits among several songs.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I can't imagine why, given all of the stuff that would get in the way of creating and playing music after that point.
Band History:
A 4th generation Memphis musician, The Bluescaster is not a blues purist, a blues rocker, or a blues re-enactor...
Your influences?
Everybody with their own sound...Adrian Legg, Roy Buchanan, John Renbourn, Carlos Santana...
Every style, as long as the artist is fresh.
Favorite spot?
Where I am now,Memphis.
Equipment used:
Acoustic-electric guitars and harmonica through digital pedalboard.
